FROM YVONNE…… Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple... The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.
To all of you who have supported me with the welfare work that I do – with sponsorship for 2007 Two Oceans Marathon or donations of money or bric-a-brac etc. – THANK YOU.
If any of you would like to see first hand where the support goes, I am looking for more helpers for the 'spayathon' that I am organising in Khayelitsha on Saturday Feb 9th, so please come and join us.
We are hoping to sterilise 100 (maybe more?) dogs and cats on the day. I have a number of private vets and nurses giving up their time free-of-charge to do the sterilisations, and I have received donations of the necessary drugs from our pharmaceutical companies and veterinary suppliers, but we still need helpers to:
check animals in and record owners' details;
watch animals recover from anaesthetic to ensure they are ok;
collect and return animals for those owners who have no transport – anyone with their own bakkie (or similar) would be very welcome!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The breast cancer site needs people to click on thier site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. This visit does not cost a thing and the corportate sponsors use the number of visits to donate a mamaogram in exchange for advertising.....go on click the big pink button.
It takes less than a minute (How about 20 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box "fund food for animals" for free. This doesn't cost you a thing.
